Supporting people in difficult situations

It has always been important to me not only to think about myself, but also to support people who depend on help. That is why I started making regular donations to Bread for the World in 2023. The organization works worldwide to help people suffering from poverty, hunger, lack of education, or difficult living conditions. For me, charity is not just a one-time act of support, but a long-term responsibility and a small contribution toward making the world a fairer place.

Shortly afterwards, I also took over a sponsorship through Plan International. Through this program, I support a girl from Benin in Africa. It was important to me to give a specific child better opportunities for education, healthcare, and a secure future. What especially impresses me is that the support benefits not only individual children, but also entire families and communities. Education and medical care are not something everyone can take for granted, even though they are essential foundations for a self-determined life.

Even though individual donations may not change the world immediately, many small contributions together can make a big difference. For me, charity is therefore not only financial support, but also an expression of compassion, responsibility, and humanity.

Support for people with disabilities

In addition to international aid, it is also important to me to support social projects in Germany. That is why I own a ticket from Aktion Mensch. The organization has been committed for many years to inclusion, accessibility, and supporting people with disabilities. It funds numerous social projects that help people live independent and equal lives.

Especially in a modern society, nobody should be excluded because of physical or health-related limitations. Many everyday things that are taken for granted by others can represent major challenges for people with disabilities. That is why I believe projects that reduce barriers and enable greater participation are important — both in public life and in professional and social environments.

What I particularly appreciate about Aktion Mensch is the wide variety of support it provides. Among other things, it promotes housing projects, educational programs, leisure activities, as well as technical and social assistance for people with disabilities. At the same time, initiatives that encourage interaction between people and help reduce prejudice are also supported.

For me, social responsibility does not end at national borders or specific areas of concern. Everyone should have the opportunity to participate in society and be treated with respect. By supporting such organizations, I want to contribute to ensuring that inclusion is not just a concept, but something that is actively practiced.

Helping animals and supporting the Bischdorf animal shelter

Since 2025, I have also been supporting the animal shelter in Bischdorf. My connection to this shelter is especially personal, because my dog Pola comes from there. Through her, I have personally experienced how much work, time, and dedication are required to operate an animal shelter. Many animals there are waiting for a new home and need not only food and medical care, but above all attention, patience, and compassion.

Animal shelters fulfill an important role in society. They care for abandoned, neglected, or surrendered animals and give them the opportunity for a better life. At the same time, many shelters depend on donations because the ongoing costs for care, accommodation, and veterinary treatment are very high. That is why I want to make a small contribution through my support so that this important work can continue.

For many people, animals are family members and loyal companions. That is why I believe it is important to treat them responsibly and support organizations that work every day for their well-being. Through Pola, this topic has gained a very special meaning for me once again.

For me, charity therefore means not only helping people, but also taking responsibility for animals and all living beings that depend on support.
